Series 1500
1. Remove all associated panels and parts.
2. Remove the damaged bumper bracket.
Warning: Do not remove material from the end of the frame spar.
3. Install the template on the side member. Fix the template with glue.
4. Drill three 13mm holes at the locations marked on the template.
5. Apply an anti-corrosion primer to the exposed metal of the spar.
6. Install new bumper bracket.
7. Install the mounting bolts, tighten the bolts. Tightening torque 50 Nm.
Series 2500
1. Remove all associated panels and parts.
2. Remove the damaged bumper bracket.
3. Visually inspect the frame and repair any damaged parts. Caution: If the vehicle is equipped with a tow hook, discard the factory hook mounting bolts.
4. Align the bottom holes of the new bracket with the holes of the tow hook and install the bolts (1), supplied with bracket.
5. Turn the bracket all the way into the frame side member. Mark hole positions (1) for the top mounting bolts.
6. Lower the bracket and drill two holes with a diameter of 13 mm in the side member for the upper bolts of the bracket.
7. Return the bracket to the installation position.
8. Install the mounting bolts supplied with the bracket, tighten all bolts. Tightening torque 70 Nm.
