Front bumper — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal



1. Remove the radiator grille.

2. If equipped, disconnect the fog light wiring connectors.

2. If equipped, disconnect the fog light wiring connectors.


3. Loosen the bolts (1) and (2) securing the front bumper. Tightening torque 85 Nm.

3. Loosen the bolts (1) and (2) securing the front bumper. Tightening torque 85 Nm.


4. Loosen the bolt (3) securing the stiffening element. Tightening torque 55 Nm.

Caution: When installing, first tighten bolts (1) and (2), then bolts (3).


5. Remove the bumper from the car.

If necessary:

6. Remove the front bumper air deflector.

7. If installed, remove the fog lights.

8. Remove the S-shaped clip securing the bumper filler panel to the wheel arch mudguard.

9. Remove the filler panel fasteners from the radiator support. Tightening torque 9 Nm.

9. Remove the filler panel fasteners from the radiator support. Tightening torque 9 Nm.


10. Remove the filler panel fasteners from the headlight bracket. Tightening torque 9 Nm.



11. Remove the bumper filler.

Installation



12. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
