Coolant heater wires (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.

2. (LY6 2500 Series Engine) unscrew the two front bolts securing the oil pan guard, loosen the two rear bolts and remove the guard. Tightening torque 20 Nm.

3. Disconnect the coolant heater connector.

LY6 Engine



4. Disconnect the clips (1) securing the heater wire to the front brake pipes.

5. Disconnect the wire support clip (2) from the frame.

6. Lower the vehicle.

7. Loosen the bolt (3) securing the wires to the frame. Tightening torque 8 Nm.

8. Remove the wires from the vehicle.

9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Engines LC9/L76/L92



4. Remove the clips (3) securing the heater wires to the engine wiring harness channel.

4. Remove the clips (3) securing the heater wires to the engine wiring harness channel.


5. Remove the clips securing the heater wires (1) to the power steering hose.

6. Lower the vehicle.

7. Loosen the bolt (2) securing the wires to the frame. Tightening torque 8 Nm.

8. Remove the wires.

9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

LY5/LMG Engines



4. Remove the clip (5) securing the heater wires to the frame.



4. Remove the clip (5) securing the heater wires to the frame.


5. Disconnect the clip (6) securing the wires to the front brake pipe.

6. Lower the vehicle.

7. Loosen the bolt (4) securing the heater wires to the frame. Tightening torque 8 Nm.

8. Disconnect the clip (2) securing the heater wires to the chassis wire harness.

9. Disconnect the clip (1) securing the heater wires to the suspension spring tunnel stud.

10. Remove the wires from the vehicle.

Installation



11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
