Engine lubrication system — design description (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

The lubrication system is forced under pressure. The gear-type oil pump with internal engagement is installed in the front part of the block and is driven by the crankshaft sprocket. The pressure reducing valve opens at a pressure of 379-517 kPa.
