Tilt sensor — removal and installation (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the front left seat. See Section 9H "Seats".

3. Disconnect the tilt sensor connector.



4. Remove the tilt sensor from the bracket by sliding it backwards.

5. If necessary, unscrew the bolts and remove the bracket.

Installation procedure

1. Install the tilt sensor bracket and secure it with bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the tilt sensor bracket mounting bolts to 10 N·m (7 lb-ft).

2. Install the tilt sensor on the bracket.

3. Connect the tilt sensor connector.

4. Install the left front seat. See Section 9H "Seats".

5. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
