Anti-theft alarm — removal and installation (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Remove the engine control module bracket. Depending on the engine type, See Section 1F1 or 1F2, 1F3 "Engine Management System".

3. Remove the left headlight. See Section 9B "Lighting system".

4. Remove the washer reservoir tube.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

6. Loosen the nut and remove the anti-theft alarm system from under the battery tray.

Installation procedure

1. Install the anti-theft alarm under the battery tray and secure with a nut.

2. Connect the electrical connector.

3. Install the washer reservoir tube.

4. Install the left headlight. See Section 9B "Lighting system".

5. Install the engine control module bracket. Depending on the engine type, See Section 1F1 or 1F2, 1F3 "Engine Management System".

6. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
