Removal
1. Remove the tailgate handle cover, see "Adjustment".
2. Release the lock rod retainers on both sides of the trim, see "Adjustment".
3. Unscrew the three bolts (1) securing the handle. Tightening torque 25 Nm.
4. Remove the tailgate spoiler.
5. Remove the handle.
Installation
6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. After installation, adjust the operation of the lock.
Adjustment
1. Lower the tailgate.
2. Loosen the bolts (1) of the tailgate handle cover. Tightening torque 9 Nm.
3. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, release the trim tabs located directly underneath the trim at (3). Remove the trim (2).
4. Release the lock rod retainer (3) on the right side of the trim.
5. Release the retainer (4) of the lock rod on the left side of the trim.
6. Adjust the position of the lock by moving the rod saddle in the retainer. Move both saddles the same distance.
7. Secure the clamps.
8. Close the tailgate. Check that the tailgate is securely locked.
9. Open the side and check its freedom of movement.
10. If necessary, repeat steps 6-9.
11. Install the tailgate handle cover.
