Upper cargo door hinge (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Repair all damage as completely as possible.

2. Remove all associated panels and parts.

3. Clean the area around the hinge from excess sealant.



4. Use a scriber to mark the hinge installation marks.



5. Drill out the weld spots for the hinge access panel.



6. Bend back the access panel.



7. Drill out the hinge welding spots using a countersink or a 13 mm diameter drill.



8. If necessary, knock the hinge off the post using a chisel.

Installation

9. Installing the upper door hinge is similar to installing the lower door hinge.
