Radiator grille protection (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Unscrew the bolts (1) and nuts (2) securing the front side protection (3).



2. Remove the front side protection.

3. Open the hood.

4. Remove the upper radiator air damper.

5. Raise the car.

6. Unscrew the two bolts (1) securing the lower front part of the guard to the lower support bracket.



7. Unscrew the bolt (1) securing the upper front part of the protection to the bracket of the central part of the protection.



8. Remove the front part of the protection from the car.



9. Unscrew the two bolts (1) securing the bracket of the central part of the protection to the bracket of the support of the upper part of the protection.



10. Remove the bracket of the central part of the protection.

11. Remove the radiator grille.

12. Remove the front bumper.

13. Unscrew the front bolts (1) securing the upper guard support bracket.



14. Unscrew the lower bolts (2) securing the upper protection support bracket.

15. Remove the upper guard support bracket.

16. Remove the towing hook fastener (1).



17. Unscrew the bolt (2) of the middle bracket.



18. Remove the middle bracket (3).

19. Loosen the bolt (1) securing the lower support bracket.



20. Remove the lower bracket (2).

Installation

1. Install the lower, middle and upper brackets of the protection support, hand tighten the corresponding fasteners.

2. Tighten the lower bracket bolt. Tightening torque 35 N·m.

3. Tighten the towing hook fasteners. Tightening torque 85 N·m.

4. Tighten the center support bracket bolt. Tightening torque 35 N·m.

5. Tighten the front upper support bracket bolts. Tightening torque 50 N·m.

6. Tighten the lower bolts of the upper support bracket. Tightening torque 50 N·m.

7. Install the front bumper.

8. Install the radiator grille.

9. Install the bracket of the central part of the protection.

10. Install the two bolts securing the central guard bracket to the upper guard support bracket. Tighten the bolts. Tightening torque 50 Nm.

11. Install the front part of the guard.

12. Tighten the bolt securing the upper front part of the guard to the bracket of the central part of the guard. Tightening torque 50 Nm.

13. Tighten the two bolts securing the lower front part of the guard to the lower support bracket. Tightening torque 60 N·m.



14. Lower the vehicle.

15. Install the front side protection.

16. Install the front side protection mounting bolts and nuts. Tighten the fasteners. Tightening torque 45 N·m.

17. Install the upper radiator air damper

18. Close the hood.
