Removal
Caution: If the cable is broken, open the hood by pressing the lock lever on the left side with a suitable pin.
1. Raise the hood.
2. Remove the left door hinge trim panel.
3. Loosen the power distribution unit mounting nut, remove the unit cover by disconnecting the fasteners (1) on both sides.

4. To gain access to the hood lock cable, remove the power distribution unit by releasing it from the clips (1) and retaining grooves (2).

5. Remove the hood lock cable handle (under the dashboard). Tightening torque 11 Nm.

6. Disconnect the cable from the handle.
7. Using needle-nose pliers, squeeze the cable clamps on the hood latch.
8. Remove the cable from the lock.
9. To gain access to the hood release cable, partially remove the parking brake pedal assembly.
10. Pull the cable into the engine compartment through the hole in the engine compartment bulkhead.

11. Remove the radiator flap and deflector.
12. Release the hood lock cable from the support clips.

13. Disconnect the cable from the hood lock.
14. Remove the cable.
Installation
15. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
