Calibration of the air conditioning system (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Note: Do not press the buttons on the air conditioning control panel during self-calibration. Pressing the buttons on the control panel during self-calibration will stop the process and cause the control panel to operate incorrectly.


Calibration of the climate control panel



When replacing the climate control panel, it is necessary to perform calibration. When installing the climate control panel, do the following:

1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

2. Disconnect the diagnostic tool.

3. Install the climate control panel.

4. Reconnect all disconnected connectors and components.

5. Start the engine.

6. Wait 40 seconds and make sure that the control panel self-diagnosis is activated.

7. Verify that no diagnostic trouble codes are displayed.

Calibration of servos



When replacing the climate control servo drives, they must be calibrated. When installing the servo drives, do the following:

Calibration using a diagnostic tool



1. Clear all fault codes from the memory.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

3. Install the servo.

4. Reconnect all disconnected connectors and components.

5. Start the engine.

6. Using the diagnostic tool, enable the self-calibration function.

7. Verify that no diagnostic trouble codes are displayed.

Calibration without a diagnostic tool



1. Clear all fault codes from the memory.

2. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

3. Install the servo.

4. Reconnect all disconnected connectors and components.



5. Remove the "HVAC/ECAS" fuse for 10 seconds.

6. Reinstall the "HVAC/ECAS" fuse.

7. Start the engine.

8. Wait 40 seconds and make sure that the control panel self-diagnosis is activated.

9. Verify that no diagnostic trouble codes are displayed.
