Removal



1. Pump the refrigerant out of the air conditioning system.

2. Loosen the bolt (2) securing the refrigerant drain hose to the air conditioner compressor. Tightening torque 16 N·m.

3. Disconnect the refrigerant drain hose (1) from the compressor.

4. Remove the upper radiator cap.

5. Unscrew the nut securing the refrigerant drain hose from the air conditioner condenser. Tightening torque 16 N·m.

6. Disconnect the hose from the air conditioner condenser.

7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the air intake control switch.

8. Remove the refrigerant drain hose from the vehicle.

9. Remove and discard all sealing washers. Install plugs on the open ends of the tubes.



Installation



10. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

11. Evacuate the system and fill the system with refrigerant.

12. Using a special device, check the system for refrigerant leaks.
