Upper control arm front suspension (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

2. Remove the front wheel.

3. If the electronically controlled suspension is installed, disconnect the suspension height sensor link from the sensor.

4. Loosen the bolt securing the brake hose bracket and wheel speed sensor.



5. If necessary, remove the drive shaft.

6. Unscrew the nut securing the ball joint of the lever to the steering knuckle. Do not reinstall the nut securing the joint. Tightening torque 50 N·m.



7. Using a ball joint puller, disconnect the control arm ball joint from the steering knuckle.



8. Loosen the nuts securing the upper arm adjusting cams and remove the cams (2). Tightening torque 190 Nm.

Series 2500

GMT900, 1500 series

9. Loosen the bolts (4) securing the upper arm. Tightening torque 190 Nm.

10. Remove the upper suspension arm.

Installation

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

12. Adjust the wheel alignment angles.
