Front suspension knuckle (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

2. Remove the front wheel.

3. Place a safety stand under the lower suspension arm.



4. Remove the wheel hub and bearing.

5. If the electronically controlled suspension is installed, disconnect the suspension height sensor link from the sensor.

6. Disconnect the outer steering rod from the steering knuckle.

7. Loosen the bolt securing the brake hose to the steering knuckle. Tightening torque 9 Nm.



8. Unscrew the nut securing the upper arm ball joint to the steering knuckle. Separate the joint from the knuckle. Tightening torque 50 N·m.

9. Unscrew the nut securing the lower arm ball joint to the steering knuckle. Separate the joint from the knuckle.

GMT 800

GMT 900. Torsion bar suspension

Tightening torque 100 Nm.

10. Remove the steering knuckle.

Installation

11. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before installation, clean the seats of the ball joints and steering knuckle.
