Removal
1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.
2. Remove the front wheel.
3. Remove the brake disc.
4. Remove the brake hose and wheel speed sensor bracket from the steering knuckle. Tightening torque 12 N·m.
5. Remove the drive shaft mounting nut cover.

6. Unscrew the nut (2) securing the drive shaft, remove the washer (3).

Caution: Do not reinstall the drive shaft mounting nut. Tightening torque 240 Nm.
7. Using a puller, press the drive shaft out of the hub.

8. Loosen the hub mounting bolts (4). Tightening torque 180 Nm.

9. Remove the hub (4), mudguard (6) and on the 2500 series, the sealing ring (7).
10. Loosen the bolt (5) securing the wheel speed sensor. Tightening torque 18 Nm.
11. On 2500 Series models, flush and inspect the O-ring. Replace if cut, dented or hardened.
Installation
12. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Before installation, lubricate the hub seat in the steering knuckle with chassis grease.
