Removal
Caution: When servicing the torsion bar, do not damage the protective coating of the torsion bar. Damage to the coating will lead to premature failure of the torsion bar.
1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.
2. Install the torsion bar relief clamp on the torsion bar lever and the frame cross member.

3. Increase the force on the torsion bar lever until the load is released from the adjusting bolt (3) and nut (4).

4. Unscrew the adjusting bolt, count the number of turns required to remove the bolt.
5. Remove the adjusting bolt and nut.
6. Remove the clamp, now the torsion bar is completely unloaded.
7. Remove the torsion bar from the adjusting lever by moving it forward. Support the lever from falling.

8. Unscrew the bolts (4) securing the torsion bar cross member from the welded nuts (1).

10. Remove the torsion bar cross member.
11. Remove the torsion bar from the vehicle.
Attention: remember the position of the torsion bars, the left and right torsion bars are not interchangeable.
Installation
1. Insert the torsion bar into the lower control arm.
2. Install the torsion bar cross member.
3. Install the torsion bar mounting bolts into the welded nuts. Tighten the bolts. Tightening torque 95 Nm.
4. Install the crossmember support upper link bolts and nuts. Tighten the bolts. Tightening torque 95 N·m.
5. While holding the adjusting lever in the crossmember, insert the torsion bar into it until the torsion bar is fully seated in the lever.
6. Install a clamp on the lever and crossbar.
7. Create tension on the torsion bar by pulling the lever towards the cross member.
8. Install the adjusting bolt and nut.
Caution: Tighten the adjusting bolt into the nut the same number of turns as it took to remove the bolt.
9. Remove the clamp.
10. Remove the safety posts.
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Measure the suspension height. Adjust the suspension height if necessary.
13. To increase the suspension height, turn the adjusting bolt (2) clockwise; to decrease the height, turn it counterclockwise.
