Note. This adjustment should only be made if the throttle body has been replaced. The engine must be at normal operating temperature before the adjustment procedure.
84. Remove the air filter, adapters and gaskets.
85. Connect all necessary vacuum tubes according to the VECI label.
86. After connecting the IAC valve, connect to "weight" ALDL diagnostic connector terminal (see chapter 6). Turn on the ignition, but do not start the engine. Wait at least 30 seconds for the IAC camshaft to seat properly in the throttle body after expansion. Disconnect the IAC valve electrical connector. Disconnect "mass" from the diagnostic connector terminal and start the engine.
87. Remove the plug by first pushing it through with an awl (see item 28 in illustration 12.5), and then picking up and squeezing out.
88. Adjust the idle speed screw to obtain the specified number of revolutions in the parking mode.
89. Turn off the ignition and connect the IAC valve electrical connector.
90. Disconnect all connected vacuum tubes.
91. Install the air filter, adapters and new gaskets (see section 8).
