Headlight bulbs — replacement (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

            0

Warning: The halogen gas in the lamps is under high pressure. If the surface of the bulb is damaged or if it falls, the lamp may explode. When handling lamps, wear protective glasses. You should touch the light bulb by grasping it only by the socket or connector element. Do not touch the surface of the bulb with your fingers, as the presence of residual skin oil will cause overheating and premature burnout of the bulb. If during work you accidentally touch the surface of the flask with your fingers, degrease it with alcohol.

Note: Low and high beam headlights have a grey socket, while high beam headlights have a black socket.

1. Remove the headlight housing as described in subsection 16.

2. Remove the service cover located on the back of the headlight housing (see illustration). Turn the socket counterclockwise and remove it together with the connector from the headlight housing (see illustration).

Note: The lamp is not detachable from the socket.

Touching only the cartridge (not to the flask) new lamp, connect the plug and insert the new socket/lamp into the housing. Turn the chuck clockwise to lock it in its original position, then install the service cover.

4. The headlight housing is installed in the reverse order of removal.
