Front heater



Models 1987-1994.



1. Disconnect the battery from ground.

2. Remove the receiver (see Chapter 12).

3. Unscrew 4 screws (see photo).

4. Pull the panel towards you and disconnect the wiring connector from the back of the panel (see photo).

5. Mark and disconnect the cables (if provided) and remove the control panel.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Models since 1995.



7. Disconnect the battery from ground.

8. Remove the instrument panel trim.

9. Pry and remove the control panel from the instrument panel.

10. Disconnect the connectors from the panel.

11. Installation is carried out in reverse order.



Rear auxiliary heater (suburban models)



12. Disconnect the battery from ground.

13. Loosen the front screw securing the ceiling trim and pull the trim towards you. Release the trim fastening ears and remove it.

14. Disconnect the connectors from the panel.

15. Pry and remove the front control panel from the trim.

16. To remove the rear auxiliary control panel, remove the decorative cover, pry and remove the rear control panel from the upper trim, disconnect the connector.

17. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
