1. Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on stands. Remove the rear wheels.
2. Support the rear axle under the gearbox housing with a trolley and jack.
3. Disconnect the cardan shaft from the gearbox.
4. Disconnect and compress the shock absorbers.
5. Disconnect and plug the brake hose.
6. Remove the rear brake drums.
7. Disconnect the handbrake cables from the brake shoe drive levers and on the brake shield.
8. Disconnect the breather hose.
9. Remove the U-bolts from the springs by unscrewing the nuts. Remove the bushings.
10. Carefully lower the rear axle on the jack.
11. The bridge is installed in reverse order.
12. When finished, bleed the brakes.
