Note: Do not use a wedge to separate the ball joints, as this may damage the joint boot. Use a special puller.

1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

2. If the engine protection is installed, remove the protection.

3. Unscrew the nut (10) securing the ball joint of the pendulum arm (1).

Note: Do not reinstall the ball joint mounting nut.

4. Using a puller, separate the swing arm ball joint from the tie rod.

5. Unscrew the bolts (3) and nuts (1) securing the pendulum arm (2). Tightening torque 100 Nm.

6. Remove the pendulum arm.

Installation

7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When connecting the ball joint, tighten the OLD nut to a torque of 50 N·m. Unscrew the nut, install and tighten the NEW nut. Tightening torque is 60 N·m.

8. Check the wheel alignment angles.
