Rear suspension shock absorber (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.

2. If the suspension is electronically controlled, disconnect the shock absorber wiring connector and air supply pipe (on one or both sides of the car, depending on the design).

3. Place a temporary support under the bridge beam.

4. If the suspension is electronically controlled, disconnect the height sensor connector.

5. Loosen the bolt and nut of the upper shock absorber support. Tightening torque 95 Nm.

Series 1500 (GMT800/900), 2500 (GMT800)

Series 1500 (GMT800/900), 2500 (GMT800)

2500 Series (GMT900)



6. Loosen the bolt and nut of the lower shock absorber support. Tightening torque 95 Nm.

7. Remove the shock absorber.

Installation



8. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
