Note: the generator is a re-assemblable unit of the engine electrical equipment. The generator has a built-in current rectifier and voltage regulator. If the generator fails, it must be replaced as a whole.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the top engine cover.
3. Remove the accessory drive belt.
4. Disconnect the generator connector (3).
5. Move the generator cable cover (3) along the cable.
6. Loosen the nut (2) securing the generator cable. Tightening torque 9 Nm.
7. Remove the cable end (1) from the generator stud.
8. Loosen the generator mounting bolts. Tightening torque 55 Nm.
9. Remove the generator.
Installation
10. Installation in reverse order.
