Removal
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise the vehicle and place safety stands under the frame.
3. Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the oil pan guard. Tightening torque 28 Nm.

4. Loosen the automatic transmission cover mounting bolt. Tightening torque 9 Nm.

5. Loosen the starter mounting bolts. Tightening torque 50 Nm.

6. Disconnect the oil level sensor connector (4).

Note: Avoid damaging the starter cable and wires. Do not hang the starter on the car wires, use tying wire for this.
7. Move the starter forward until it moves away from the automatic transmission and temporarily secure the starter from falling.
8. Lower the car halfway.
9. Remove the right front wheel.
10. Unscrew the nut (1) securing the starter solenoid wire.
11. Remove the wire (2) from the starter solenoid relay stud. Tightening torque 3.5 Nm.

12. Loosen the bolt (2) securing the starter cable support clip to the frame. Tightening torque 10 Nm.

13. Loosen the nut (1) securing the starter cable. Tightening torque 9 Nm.

14. Remove the cable (2) from the starter.
15. Remove the starter through the wheel well opening.
16. When replacing the starter, disconnect the automatic transmission cover and the traction relay heat shield from it.

Installation
17. Installation in reverse order.
