Breather hose nipple — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Early 8.25" gearbox and 9.25" gearbox

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the breather hose from the fitting on the gearbox housing.



3. Unscrew the fitting. Tightening torque 28 Nm.

Note: Apply sealant to the threads of the fitting before installation.

4. Installation in reverse order.

Late models of the 8.25-inch gearbox

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. If installed, remove the gearbox guard.

3. Disconnect the breather hose (1) from the fitting (2) on the gearbox housing.



4. Unscrew the fitting. Tightening torque 20 Nm.

Note: Apply sealant to the threads of the fitting before installation.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
