Removal
1. For vehicles equipped with a DOHC engine, remove the clamp from the vacuum hose connection on the intake manifold.
2. Disconnect the hose from the union nut. If the hose cannot be pulled out or is worn out, pry it up and replace it.
3. For vehicles equipped with a SOHC engine, remove the clamp from the vacuum hose connection to the intake manifold in the same manner.
4. Pull the hose out of the union nut. If the hose cannot be pulled out or is worn out, pry it out and replace it.
5. Remove the clamp connecting the vacuum hose to the brake booster.
6. Remove the vacuum hose.
Installation
1. Install the vacuum hose (the figure shows the connection for a DOHC engine) and make sure the hose is tight at each end.
2. Install the vacuum hose clamps.
3. Check the operation of the amplifier.
