Removal and installation the brake fluid reservoir (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

Removal



Caution: Only remove the tank if it is being replaced due to damage or leakage.


1. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector from the reservoir.

2. For vehicles with manual transmission, connect the clutch master cylinder fluid supply hose to the brake master cylinder reservoir.

3. Using a screwdriver, carefully pry the tank upwards to loosen it.

4. Tilt the tank and pull it up to remove it.

5. Remove the rubber sealing bushings of the reservoir from the body of the master brake cylinder.

Installation



1. Lubricate new seals with clean brake fluid.

2. Install the seals into the cylinder body.

3. Install the reservoir onto the master cylinder body. (ABS system shown).

4. For vehicles with manual transmission, connect the fluid supply hose to the clutch cylinder from the master cylinder reservoir.

5. Add brake fluid.

6. Raise and secure the vehicle.

7. Bleed the clutch master cylinder.

8. Remove air from the remaining components of the brake system.

9. Lower the vehicle.



10. Connect the electrical connector.
