1. Check the brake disc thickness. Thickness unevenness can be checked by measuring the thickness of the brake disc at four or more points along the circumference of the brake disc. All these measurements must be taken at the same distance from the edge of the brake disc.
A brake disc that varies more than 0.10 mm in thickness may cause the brake pedal to pulsate and/or the vehicle's front axle to vibrate when braking. A brake disc that does not meet the specification values must be reworked or replaced.
Minor grooves on the surface of the brake disc, no more than 0.40 mm in depth, which may be the result of normal operation, do not have a negative effect on the braking process.
2. Check the lateral runout of the brake disc. The maximum allowable lateral runout must be a maximum of 0.10 mm. If the lateral runout exceeds this set value, make sure that there is no dirt between the brake disc and the hub, that the contact surfaces are smooth and free of burrs.
1. Put the transmission switch in neutral position.
2. Remove the brake disc.
3. Using the two wheel screws, install the brake disc onto the hub.
4. Install the digital indicator on the brake caliper.
5. Install the indicator tip at a distance of approximately 0.10 mm from the outer edge of the brake disc, perpendicular to the surface of the disc, with a slight pressure on the disc.
6. Remove the digital indicator and wheel bolts fixing to a nave.
7. Install the brake disc.
