Removal and installation the master brake cylinder (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

Removal



1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the tank.

2. For vehicles with ABS, disconnect the brake pipes from the brake master cylinder housing.

2. For vehicles with ABS, disconnect the brake pipes from the brake master cylinder housing.


3. For vehicles without ABS, disconnect the brake pipes from the limiting valves.

4. For vehicles with a manual transmission, disconnect the clamp securing the hose connection that supplies fluid to the clutch master cylinder.

5. Cover the hole on the brake pipes to prevent fluid leakage and contamination.

6. Unscrew the mounting nuts from the vacuum booster.

7. Remove the brake master cylinder assembly.

8. Remove the seal from the amplifier housing. Replace the seal.

8. Remove the seal from the amplifier housing. Replace the seal.


10. Drain the brake fluid.



Installation



1. Install the master cylinder with new mounting nuts.

2. Install a new seal on the booster housing and tighten the master cylinder mounting nuts to 18 Nm.

3. For vehicles with ABS, connect the brake pipes to the cylinder body

4. For vehicles without ABS, connect the brake pipes to the limiting valves and tighten the fastening to a torque of 16 Nm.

5. For vehicles with manual transmission, connect the clutch master cylinder fluid supply hose to the brake master cylinder reservoir.

6. Connect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector to the reservoir.

7. Add brake fluid.

8. Check for leaks and fluid level.

9. Remove air from the brake system.
