Early 8.25" gearbox models and all 9.25" gearbox models
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. If installed, remove the gearbox guard.
Note: Remember the hose route.
3. Disconnect the breather hose (1) from the wire harness (2) (only disconnectable front axle).
4. Release the hose from the support clips.
5. Remove the hose from the reducer fitting.
6. Blow out the hose with compressed air.
7. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Do not allow the hose to become kinked.
Late models of the 8.25-inch gearbox
1. Raise the vehicle.
2. If installed, remove the gearbox guard.
3. Release the breather hose from the support clips on the frame.
4. Remove the breather hose from the gearbox housing fitting.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Remove the breather hose from the inner fender.
7. Blow out the hose with compressed air.
8. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Do not allow the hose to become kinked.
