Input shaft seal (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Raise the vehicle.

2. Remove the transfer case.

3. Remove the transfer case input shaft seal.

Installation

Note: When installing, the seal number must face outward.

1. Install the oil seal on the gearbox shaft.

2. Using a mandrel, press the seal into its seat.



3. Install the transfer case on the vehicle.

4. Check the oil level.

5. Lower the vehicle.
