
Air through the air intake located under the front bumper cover and the noise muffler 1 via the air duct 2 enters the air filter, where it passes through a replaceable filter element.

The air intake pipe connects the air filter and the throttle assembly installed on the intake manifold.
The throttle valve regulates the amount of air needed to operate the engine in a given mode. Electronic throttle unit, opening the valve to a certain angle (including in idle mode) is provided by an electric motor controlled by an electronic engine control unit (ECU). The ECU calculates the throttle valve opening angle in accordance with signals received from the engine management system sensors and the operating mode (see above).
