Replacing the inner CV joint boot (Chevrolet Aveo T200)

Removal



1. Remove the drive shaft.

2. Remove the large cover clamp.

3. Remove the small clamp of the cover.

3. Remove the small clamp of the cover.


4. Remove the hinge housing from the cover.

5. Remove grease from the hinge housing.

5. Remove grease from the hinge housing.


6. Remove the retaining ring using a clamp tightening tool.

6. Remove the retaining ring using a clamp tightening tool.


7. Remove the three-pin joint and the three-pin joint retaining ring from the drive shaft.



8. Remove the three-pin joint boot from the drive shaft.

8. Remove the three-pin joint boot from the drive shaft.


Installation



1. Install a new small clamp onto the cover.

2. Install the boot onto the drive shaft.

3. Install the three-pin.

4. Install the shaft retaining ring onto the drive shaft using a clamp tightening tool.

5. Fill the three-spike cover with the recommended lubricant in the amount of 195-215 g. Fill the three-spike body with the recommended lubricant in the amount of 195-215 g.

6. Connect the boot to the CV joint housing.

7. Install the new large boot clamp. Use the boot clamp tightener to tighten the clamp.

8. Secure the new small boot clamp using the boot clamp tightener.

9. Install the drive shaft onto the vehicle.
