1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Pry up the edge of the decorative trim of the outside mirror and remove the trim, overcoming the force of the clamps.
3. Using a screwdriver, pry off the cover of the screw securing the upholstery under the armrest...
4. ...and remove the screw.
5. Pry up the plug located in the trim of the inner door lock handle and remove the plug...
6. ...then unscrew the trim mounting screw located under the plug.
7. Pry up the edges of the upholstery and remove nine pins (figure 11.1) from engagement with the door panel.
8. Lift up the rear edge of the door trim until the lock release button comes out of the hole in the trim and move the trim away from the door panel.
9. Press the latch of the inner door lock handle cable sheath end and disconnect the cable sheath from the inner handle bracket.
10. Turn the cable end and disconnect it from the inside door lock handle.
11. Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the electric mirror control unit.
12. Similarly, disconnect the wiring harness connector from the power window control unit, then remove the front door trim.
13. Install the front door trim and all removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
