The front door window lifters are equipped with electric drives. This subsection describes the removal and installation of the electric window lifter itself. Replacing the electric window lifter control unit is discussed in the "Electrical Equipment" section (see "Replacing the central control unit for electric windows").
1. Set the door glass to the upper position.
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
3. Remove the front door trim (see "Removal and installation the front door trim").

4. Peel off the moisture-proof film from the inner door panel.

5. Loosen the nuts securing the glass to the window regulator slider.

NOTE: When the front door glass is in the up position, the glass retaining clip nuts are accessible through access holes in the inner door panel.

6. Secure the glass to the door with masking tape.
7. Temporarily connect the battery, connect the window lifter control unit and, while pressing the window lifter control unit button, lower the window lifter slider down.

8. Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the wiring harness connector from the window lifter motor.

9. Unscrew the three screws securing the window regulator and remove the screws with the washers installed underneath them.

NOTE: This is the location of the screws for the front door window regulator.

10. Remove the window regulator through the access window in the door panel.
11. Install the window regulator in the reverse order of removal.
