Engine mount assembly (right side) (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Necessary equipment

DW 110–060 Engine clamping fixture

Removal procedure

Caution: Raise the engine sufficiently to relieve the load on the front suspension assembly of the transmission and final drive, otherwise damage to the suspension and failure of the lifting equipment may occur.

1. Remove the decorative engine cover. See "Decorative Engine Cover" in this section.

2. Remove the air cleaner assembly. See Part 1C2, "Engine Mechanical - HFV6 3.2L".

3. Support the engine assembly using the DW110-060 engine clamp.



4. Remove the engine mount adapter retaining bolts from the engine mount support bracket.

5. Remove the lock bolt and nuts from the side bracket of the engine mount frame.

6. Remove the engine mount assembly.

Installation procedure

1. Install the engine mount assembly.

Tighten

Tighten the engine mount frame side bracket retaining bolt to 100 N·m (74 lb-ft) and the nuts to 90 N·m (66 lb-ft).

Tighten the engine mount adapter retaining bolts to 50 N·m (37 lb-ft).

2. Remove the engine assembly fixture DW110-060.

3. Install the air cleaner assembly. See Part 1C2, "Engine Mechanical - HFV6 3.2L".

4. Install the decorative engine cover. See "Decorative Engine Cover" in this section.
