Removal procedure
1. Remove the rocker arms from the appropriate cylinder head. See "Yoke" in this section.
Attention!
- Do not move the plunger of the stationary hydraulic valve clearance compensator (1) unless there is oil in the low pressure chamber.
- After filling the stationary hydraulic valve clearance compensator with oil, it is not allowed to turn it over or press on the plunger.
2. Remove the stationary hydraulic valve clearance compensator from the cylinder head (2).

Cleaning and inspection
1. Inspect the stationary hydraulic valve lash adjuster for the following faults:
- blockage of the oil passage channel (1),
- scratches or wear on the contact area with the rocker arm (2),
- damaged or broken retainer (3),
- severe scoring or wear of the compensator housing (4).
2. Replace the compensator if necessary.

Installation procedure
Caution! It is necessary that each compensator (1) is filled with clean engine oil and it is not allowed to turn the compensators over and press on the plunger before installation. The absence of oil in the low-pressure chamber of the compensator or the movement of the plunger without lubrication will lead to the ingress of air into the high-pressure chamber of the valve tappet. Air cannot be removed from the high-pressure chamber of the compensator, which will lead to cavitation and significant damage to engine components.
1. Fill the stationary hydraulic valve lash adjuster with clean engine oil. Be careful not to scratch the spherical bearing surface of the adjuster.
2. Lubricate the channels in the cylinder head intended for feeding the compensator with clean engine oil.
3. Install the compensator into the cylinder head (2).
4. Generously lubricate the spherical bearing surfaces of the compensators with regular camshaft/tappet pre-lube.
5. Install the rocker arms. See "Yoke" in this section.
