2. If a reconditioned engine is purchased (the removed engine will not be repaired), then rearrange the following attachments and units:
- Generator with bracket
- Exhaust gas toxicity control devices
- Distributor, spark plugs and high-voltage wires
- Thermostat and lid
- Cooling system pump
- Injection system devices and units
- Collectors
- Oil filter
- Supports
- Flywheel/drive disk
Caution: Before removing attachments, mark gaskets, seals and other parts to facilitate assembly.
2. If an incomplete cylinder block is to be installed (i.e. a cylinder block with selected and installed crank mechanism and piston group), then you should reinstall the cylinder head, oil pan, and oil pump on it.
3. If the removed engine is to be repaired, the following disassembly order is recommended:
- Cylinder head covers
- Intake and exhaust manifolds
- Rocker arms and push rods
- Pushers
- Timing chain cover
- Camshaft chain and sprockets
- Cylinder heads
- Camshaft
- Pallet
- Oil pump
- Connecting rods and pistons
- Crankshaft and bearings
