Transmission Mounts — Checking and Replacing (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. Rock the transmission with a tire iron inserted between the transmission and the crossmember (see photo).



2. If there is significant transmission movement, the rubber mount pad is worn out.

3. Unscrew the nut securing the support to the crossmember and the bolts securing it to the transmission.

4. Raise the transmission with a jack and remove the support.
