Removal
1. Pump the refrigerant out of the air conditioning system.
2. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system.
3. Raise the car.
4. Disconnect the heater tubes and hoses (2, 3) from the additional air conditioning unit.

5. Disconnect the tubes and hoses (2, 3) of the cooling lines from the additional air conditioning unit.

6. Unscrew the nuts (2) securing the additional climate control unit from the studs (1). Tightening torque 9 Nm.

7. (Models before 2007.) Remove the stands.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Remove the luggage compartment side trim on the right side.
10. (Models before 2007.) Remove the suspension control unit.
11. Disconnect all air conditioning unit wiring connectors.
12. Disconnect the pins (5) securing the additional upper air duct (6) or (1). Carefully slide the air duct upwards and disconnect the lower part of the air duct from the central air duct.

13. (Suburban/Yukon) Disconnect the pins (4) securing the lower air duct.

14. (Suburban/Yukon) Disconnect the pins (4) securing the central air duct (3).

15. (Suburban/Yukon) Remove the center air duct.
16. Disconnect the pins (2, 4) or (3) securing the additional air conditioning unit.
17. Remove the additional air conditioning unit (3) or (4).

Installation
18. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
19. Evacuate the system and fill the system with refrigerant.
20. Using a special device, check the connected fittings of the system for refrigerant leaks.
21. Fill the engine cooling system with coolant.
