Temperature control servo drive (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal



Models before 2005.



1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. (Cadillac Escalade) Turn the instrument panel.

3. (Chevrolet Tahoe) Remove the instrument panel trim.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the temperature control servo (9).

4. Disconnect the electrical connector (8) from the temperature control servo (9).


5. Loosen the temperature control servo drive mounting screws. Tightening torque 2 Nm.

6. Remove the temperature control servo.

7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.



Note: (Cadillac Escalade) before installing the servo drive, it must be adjusted:
  • Connect the electrical connector to the servo.
  • Turn the ignition key to the "RUN" position. This will activate the servo drive self-adjustment function.
  • Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.
  • Disconnect the servo motor electrical connector.


Models since 2005.



1. (Automatic models) Remove the center console.

2. Remove the instrument panel.

3. Disconnect the temperature control servo wiring connector.

4. Loosen the temperature control servo drive mounting screws. Tightening torque 2 Nm.

Right servo. 1 - cover, 2 - air conditioning unit, 3 - servo drive, 4 - connector.

Right servo. 1 - cover, 2 - air conditioning unit, 3 - servo drive, 4 - connector.
Left servo. 1 - connector, 2 - servo drive, 3 - air conditioning unit.

Left servo. 1 - connector, 2 - servo drive, 3 - air conditioning unit.



5. Remove the temperature control servo.

Installation



6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

7. On vehicles with automatic climate control, calibrate the servo drive.
