2. Clean the friction surfaces of the brake disc with denatured alcohol or an approved brake cleaner.
3. Inspect the friction surfaces of the brake disc. Look for traces of:
- severe rusting and/or pitting;
- cracks and/or burns (tarnished flowers);
Note: Light surface rust can be removed with sandpaper, otherwise mechanical treatment will be required.
4. Measure the depth of the circular scratches. Compare with the data specifications.
5. If one or more of the above defects are found, replace the brake disc.
