If you get stuck in snow or mud, you may need to turn off or turn on the system, because depending on the situation, the TAS system can either help or interfere with vehicle control.
Pressing the TAS switch disables the system and illuminates the traction control disable indicator.

Pressing the switch again activates the TAS system and turns off the traction control indicator.
Note: The TAS system will automatically turn on the next time the ignition is turned on, even if the traction control switch has been pressed.
The TAS system will be disabled automatically under the following conditions:
- The automatic transmission selector is set to position "1".
- When driving off-road.
- After prolonged prevention of wheel slip.
- The TAS system is malfunctioning.
