The car comes with two keys. We recommend storing one of them separately from the car and using it as a spare. The keys have a tag with the key identification number.
If you lose your keys, your Chevrolet dealer can make a duplicate using the identification number.
Central locking with remote control (optional)
The car doors are locked and unlocked using a remote control. The range of the remote control is 6 m.
To lock/unlock the doors, press the button "LOCK/UNLOCK". When the doors are locked, the hazard warning lights flash once and the anti-theft system is activated. When the doors are unlocked, the hazard warning lights flash twice and the anti-theft system is deactivated.
Pressing the BOOT button for more than 1 second unlocks the trunk.
When using the remote control, the LED flashes once.
Anti-theft alarm
The anti-theft alarm is triggered if one of the doors, the hood or the trunk is opened without using the key or remote control. The light alarm will work for 28 seconds, after which it will turn off. To turn off the alarm, you need to open one of the car doors using the remote control or key. If within 30 seconds after turning off the alarm, none of the doors, the hood or the trunk is opened, the system goes into the initial anti-theft protection mode.
If the alarm is not turned off, after 28 seconds it switches to the initial anti-theft protection mode.
Remote control pools
To prevent another remote from unlocking your vehicle, each remote has a unique electronic code. If your remote is lost or stolen, a replacement remote can be purchased from your Chevrolet dealer. To purchase a new or additional remote, present the remaining remote to the dealer. After the dealer codes the new remote, the remaining remote must also be recoded to match the changes. Once the new remote is electronically coded, the vehicle will no longer be able to be opened with the lost remote. Up to 5 remotes can be coded for one vehicle at a time.
Replacing the remote control battery
Remote control battery type: CR1620.
If the LED stops lighting up when using the remote control, this indicates that the battery is low. Loosen the screw that secures the remote control cover, remove the cover, and replace the battery.
