1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the trunk lid trim (see "Removal and installation the trunk lid trim").
3. Unscrew the five nuts securing the decorative trim.
4. Squeeze the retainer and disconnect the trunk lid lock switch wiring harness connector.
5. Similarly, disconnect the connector of the wiring harness of the license plate lights.
6. Overcoming the force of the lock, detach the decorative trim from the trunk lid and remove the seals of the wiring harnesses of the lock switch button from the holes in the trunk lid...
7. ...and license plate lights.
8. Remove the trunk lid trim by threading the wiring harness connectors through the holes in the panel.
9. Install the trunk lid trim in the reverse order of removal.
