1. Open the lower glove compartment and remove the damper rod eye from the pin on the wall of the glove compartment.
2. Squeeze the side walls of the glove compartment until the stops on the side walls disengage from the edges of the niche...
3. ...and fold the drawer down...
4. ...then remove the drawer split hinges from the axles and remove the drawer.
5. If necessary, use pliers to squeeze the lower glove compartment damper holders...
6. ...and remove the damper.
7. Install the lower storage compartment in the reverse order of removal.
The upper glove compartment is removed together with the right decorative trim of the instrument panel (see "Removal and installation decorative instrument panel trims").
