1. Connect the scanner.

2. Run the engine at idle speed. On models without the JL4 option (models without VSES system) press the brake pedal and hold it with constant force. On models with the JL4 option (models with VSES system) there is no need to press the pedal.

3. Select the program for performing the automated bleeding procedure of the brake system on the scanner.

4. Launch the program and follow the instructions provided by the scanner.

5. Turn off the ignition.

6. Remove the scanner.

7. If necessary, adjust the fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir.

8. Bleed the main brake hydraulic system.

9. With the ignition off, press the brake pedal 3-5 times to release the vacuum in the brake booster.

10. Slowly press and release the brake pedal. Observe the force on the brake pedal.

11. If the brake pedal is "soft", repeat the bleeding procedure. If the situation is not corrected, check the brake system for external leaks.

12. Turn on the ignition (without starting the engine) and monitor the status of the brake system indicator.

13. If the indicator is on, do not allow the vehicle to move until the malfunction has been corrected.

14. To initialize ABS operation, accelerate the vehicle to a speed above 13 km/h. Check the amount of force on the brake pedal.

15. If the pedal is "soft", repeat the bleeding procedure until you get a consistently "hard" pedal.
