Electronic brake control unit (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.

2. Remove dirt from the surfaces of the electronic brake control unit and the brake pressure modulator valve.

Caution: Do not reinstall the screws (1) securing the control unit to the modulator valve.


Models with VSES system (w/ JL4)

Models without VSES system (w/o JL4)

Models without VSES system (w/o JL4)

3. Wash the control unit (2) and the modulator valve (3) with denatured alcohol.

4. Disconnect the control unit wiring connector.

5. Loosen the screws securing the control unit to the modulator valve and discard the screws. Tightening torque 3 Nm.

6. Carefully pull the control unit off the modulator valve.

7. Remove the control unit gasket.



Installation



8. Installation is carried out in reverse order. When installing a new unit, it must be reprogrammed.
