Removal



1. Raise the vehicle and place safety posts under the frame.

2. Remove the rear wheel.

3. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor.

4. Remove the rear axle housing cover.

5. Remove the wheel drive axle shaft.

6. Using a drift and an inertia hammer, remove the axle shaft seal, bearing and wheel speed sensor synchronizing ring.

Installation



1. Using a mandrel, install the wheel speed sensor ring until the mandrel touches the axle beam tube.

2. Using a drift, install the axle shaft bearing until the drift touches the axle beam tube.

2. Using a drift, install the axle shaft bearing until the drift touches the axle beam tube.


3. Using a drift, install the axle shaft seal flush with the axle beam tube.

4. Install the axle shaft.

5. Install the rear axle housing cover.

6. Install the rear wheel speed sensor.

7. Install the rear wheel.

8. Fill the axle housing with transmission oil.

9. Lower the vehicle.
