
2. Inspect the pushrod earring bushing (2), look for cracks and signs of wear.
3. Move the tappet boot (3) forward to expose as much of the tappet surface as possible.
4. Assess the condition of the pusher, especially the absence of deformation of the pusher rod.
5. If the bushing or rod is damaged, replace the push rod.
6. Install the tappet boot.
7. Connect the push rod to the brake pedal.
